Welcome back for another Sun transit update!
Roughly every six days, the ☀️ Sun ☀️ moves to a new gate in the Human Design mandala (aka transit), bringing different themes and energies to everyone on the planet.
These changes provide chances for personal growth and fresh ways of self-expression that match the current energies.
Yesterday we began our transit through Gate 5, the Gate of Patterns.
If you want to hear Hali and I discussing this gate on the Human Design Hive Podcast, click HERE.

Gate 5 teaches us that waiting is not about stopping—it's an active and vital state, like the process of creation itself. This energy thrives on consistent rhythms and rituals, giving you the grounding and flow needed to stay aligned and balanced in life.
You find deep satisfaction in your routines, which attune you to the natural vibrations of the world around you, helping you maintain your momentum and inner peace.
Trust your routines—they are the foundation of your vitality and purpose.
When you're pulled away from your natural rhythm—by circumstances or people with less predictable energy—it can leave you feeling destabilized, insecure, or even physically drained. Others may not understand your devotion to structure, but it's what keeps you healthy and in alignment.
Likewise, it's important to honor their more flexible or chaotic ways without letting them disrupt your flow. Finding mutual understanding allows you to appreciate your differences while staying true to your own rhythm.
When Balanced
Your routines provide a sense of stability and peace, allowing you to feel grounded and energized. You move through life with ease, maintaining your momentum and feeling deeply connected to the world around you. Your structured approach helps you stay focused and aligned, fostering a sense of satisfaction and purpose in your daily activities.
When Unbalanced
Disruptions to your routine can leave you feeling unsettled and drained. You may experience insecurity or frustration as the lack of structure affects your energy levels and focus. It becomes challenging to maintain your inner peace, and the unpredictability of others might increase your stress. It's important to find ways to return to your natural rhythm to regain your sense of stability and well-being.
I have this gate, it is my conscious Mercury placement, so it informs a lot of how I express and operate in the world.
I am VERY much a creature of habit. My sleep apps are all very proud of me for my consistent bedtime and wake times.
Everyone around me knows coffee and alone time in the morning is my most cherished time of the day. I eat lunch at roughly the same time, and have some very established routines.
The rhythm of my day, set by me, makes me feel “safe”, I know what to expect and when. When other people interrupt my routine, or make requests of my time that would knock me off my routine, I can get really annoyed.
As I’ve gotten older, and started paying attention to these aspects of myself, I’ve noticed how much of my daily rhythm does indeed match the natural rhythm of the world. I love the change of seasons. Watching the tree outside my window slowly grow her beautiful canopy of leaves throughout the Spring, and just as slowly shed them as the days grow colder.
I notice how my schedule revolves around daylight, and have lately started paying attention to the behaviors of all the birds and critters around my home. I notice where and when my cats prefer to take their daily sleeps, and for some reason it just makes me happy.
I’ve noticed that no matter what chaos tries to occasionally enter my world, I can always tap back into the knowing that the Sun always rises, the ocean tides roll in and out, the moon will wax and wane, and if I just relax and let things run their course, I will be okay.
SO as we transit through Gate 5 for the next several days, take some time to your self and reflect:
➡️ What is absolutely essential for me in my daily routine to feel balanced and supported?
➡️ Am I living according to my own natural rhythm, and what feels good to me?
➡️ Is there a time I can remember when I allowed the natural rhythm and time of the Universe which led to a successful outcome? What was that like, and what can I tap into that experience for future success?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this gate!
